Founded in 1928 by the Sisters of Mercy, Our Lady of Mercy Academy offers young women an exemplary college preparatory education rooted in Christian values. Through a challenging and supportive environment encompassing academics, arts, athletics, community service, and many other co-curricular activities, each young woman is provided the opportunity to discover her strengths and talents and to become an independent, creative thinker who acts with social responsibility and justice. Upon graduation, Mercy alumnae are empowered to lead, serve, and succeed in their colleges, careers, communities, and lives.
Small class sizes and a dedicated faculty and staff foster a collaborative learning environment that will prepare students for college and beyond. The tradition of academic excellence is proven by the fact that the 91 graduates of the Class of 2017 earned $20.3 million in scholarships.
Our Lady of Mercy Academy offers a rigorous academic program with graduation requirements that exceed the minimum expectations of the New York State Department of Education. Honors courses in English, science, and mathematics, 15 Advanced Placement courses, and dual-enrollment college courses are available. Additionally, the EDEN: EDucational & ENvironmental Research program, provides our students the opportunity to utilize OLMA’s unique 96-acre campus as a living research center. Housed in our newly renovated Mercy iCenter, our Computer Science Program offers courses in programming, robotics, AP computer science, and more. Beyond the required computer science courses, the iCenter allows for all faculty to utilize technology as an educational resource in the teaching and learning process.
Through theology instruction, retreat programs, mission trips, and countless service endeavors, the Mercy woman serves to share her gifts with all. The Mercy spirit is evidenced in the more than 50 extra-curricular activities offered, allowing students to tailor the high school experience to meet their unique needs and interests. At Our Lady of Mercy Academy, each student is nurtured to grow into the woman God has intended her to be.
Educating young women with Faith, Compassion and Promise.
